Allegheny Trailrunners keeps a simple record of visits to this website so we can see which pages, races and links people use. We use it only for the club’s own statistics, to make the website and our races better.
What We Record
- The pages you visit, the date and time, and the website that sent you here.
- The links and buttons you click on this site, such as Register or a course map.
- Your browser, device type (phone, tablet or computer) and operating system.
- Your IP address and your approximate location (city, state and country). The location is worked out on our own server from the IP address, using an offline database. We cannot see your street address.
To count visits, the site sets two small cookies of its own: one that recognizes a returning browser (kept for 13 months) and one that groups the pages of a single visit (ends after 30 minutes). They are not used for advertising.
What We Do Not Do
- No Google Analytics, advertising networks or other third‑party trackers.
- We never sell, rent or trade this information, and we do not share it with sponsors or anyone else.
How Long We Keep It
Visit records are deleted automatically after 13 months. Only the club’s volunteers who manage the website can see them.
Contact Form
When you send us a message through the contact form, your name, email address and message are emailed to the club and kept so we can reply to you.
Maps, Videos and Other Websites
Some pages show course maps, route maps or videos from other services such as Google Maps, Strava and YouTube. Those services may set their own cookies when their content loads (YouTube videos only load after you press play). Links to registration on RunSignup and to other websites are covered by those websites’ own privacy policies.
